Gaurev Goyel
Meet Gaurev Goyel, our firm's managing partner and chair of the disputes practice group. A virtuoso in dispute resolution, Gaurev has built a solid reputation across sectors and borders for deftly guiding his teams through complex mediation and dispute management. He holds such prestigious titles as MCIArb and FBiam, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and Bali International Arbitration and Mediation Center, respectively. Moreover, he is a certified mediation advocate affiliated with the International Mediation Institute and Singapore International Dispute Resolution Academy.
Gaurev's practice ranges from civil and commercial litigation to aviation law, international arbitration, and white-collar crimes in significant disputes for eminent clients like Reliance India Limited and the Airports Authority of India. He was also featured on the Forbes India 2023 Legal Powerlist and is seen regularly as a commentator by the press and media. Outside the courtroom, he enjoys exploring exotic destinations and savouring Bordeaux wines.

Akshit Goyal
Akshit is a multi-dimensional leader to the firm and drives growth initiatives, manages internal knowledge sessions, and gets involved in the deep drafting of transaction documents and issues resolution himself at Goyel & Goyal, where he is the founding partner and Chair of the Corporate Practice Group. Akshit has an acclaimed deal-maker reputation for his work in Venture Capital Transactions, Fund Formation, Fintech, and Private Equity. He has represented some leading national and international clients ranging from venture capital funds and family offices to celebrities.
Akshit is a highly experienced and trusted adviser to fund managers and startups in the role of strategic business-oriented legal advisor. He represents clear, concise, and no-nonsense legal advice, shunning excessive use of legal jargon. His interests outside the office include angel investing, where he has a fairly diversified portfolio. Abhinav Garg
Abhinav has experience in almost all fields and domains of litigation in Delhi. He regularly appears before the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court, District Courts, and various Government Tribunals. His main area of work concerns Arbitration Disputes, Commercial Disputes, Service Law Disputes, Company Law Disputes, Consumer Law Disputes, Electricity and Power-related Disputes, and Original Side Civil Law Disputes. He frequently briefs senior counsel regarding various matters on behalf of private parties and the Government and its undertakings. Moreover, he has appeared before all governmental forums on behalf of the clients, providing them with legal aid and assistance.
He has attended several programmes undertaken by the Supreme Court of India and the High Court of Delhi including, inter alia, the Delhi Arbitration Week 2024 and is also a member of the Arbitration Bar of India. In his free time, you will find him searching for his newest travel destination, exploring new music, in addition to finding the next comedy to watch and sharing it with his friends.

Deepika Yadav
Deepika is an associate partner in the corporate practice group and also heads the firm's knowledge management initiative, and fin-tech practice. She has extensive experience in transactions, corporate and regulatory advisory spanning venture debt and capital, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory and fin-tech advisory.
She has been involved in structuring and initial advisory for technology startups, advising them on various regulatory requirements and providing clarity on the evolving legal framework for AI, data protection, fintech, carbon credits, and everything tech.
When not obsessing over the perfectly proofed document and ensuring that there is always a lesson in the feedback to juniors, Deepika can be found listening to music, cooking (read: making chai), and solving puzzles (because clearly, we aren't keeping her engaged enough).
